Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management, Dr. Riso was previously elected to the Board of Directors of the Florida Society of Anesthesiologists and elected a Regional Delegate to the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
His academic achievements and honors include Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and Iron Arrow, which were the University of Miami’s highest academic honors at the time of his graduation in 1979, Summa Cum Laude. He went on to the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital, graduating in 1986.
Dr. Riso is well-known for his engaging bedside manner, and his ability to put patients at ease before surgery. He is very popular with patients, and his positive attitude helps ease any apprehension and helps to make the pre-and post-operative periods free from anxiety.
