ThermiTight™ is a non-surgical, minimally invasive alternative for skin tightening at Delray Beach Plastic Surgery. Radio frequency energy is used to stimulate collagen production beneath the skin which improves sagging and smooths out texture. During the ThermiTight® treatment, a tiny probe is used to gently heat specific tissues to a pre-determined therapeutic temperature. With ThermiTight, Dr. Westine applies a controlled amount of thermal energy to targeted tissue. The tip of the tiny probe provides constant feedback of the actual temperature during treatment. In addition, an infrared camera is used to monitor skin temperature to ensure that your treatment is both safe and effective. The heat produces inflammation and stimulates fibroblasts and collagen remodeling which results in skin tightening.
What to Expect
ThermiTight™ can be performed as a stand-alone procedure or may be combined with other surgical procedures. The treated area is infused with a local anesthetic solution while the probe delivers the RF energy in order to reach the therapeutic temperature. Treatment time is 30 minutes to one hour depending on the area that is being treated. You may experience mild to moderate swelling or bruising following the procedure. You may also be required to wear a compressive garment, but can resume mild to normal activities in 2-3 days or as tolerated. You will notice skin tightening over the next several weeks as your collagen is remodeling and strengthening, but the most noticeable results will begin to appear within two to three months after your procedure and your full and final results will be visible in six to twelve months.

How many treatments are necessary?
Most patients will complete one treatment. As long as you maintain your current weight through diet and exercise, you will have long-lasting results. Individual results may vary.
